Julia S. Nichols, 84, of Memphis passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her home. Ms. Nichols was a retired school teacher. She taught for the Memphis City School System starting at Long View Middle School and then Craigmont High School. She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, grew up in Memphis and was a graduate of Central High School. Julia completed her Masters degree at Memphis State University. Her parents, Julius and Thelma Shide preceded her in death. She leaves her son: Tom Nichols, daughter in-law, Gail and grandson, Thomas all of Atoka, TN. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 17 at Forest Hill East with visitation starting at 12 noon. Burial will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery. The family request that memorials are sent to LeBonheur Children''s Hospital.
