J.W. Robbins, 92, of Memphis, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, June 25, 2018. Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his parents: Wiley and Donnie Robbins; and his brothers: Buddy, Talmage, Charles, Delmar "Shorty", Glenn, and Billy. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jean Robbins; daughter, Lynda Tyler(Dennis); son, Steve Robbins(Donna); grandchildren: Nathan Tyler(Samantha), Michael Tyler(Erin), Matthew Tyler(Andrea), Rachel Tyler Young(Matt), and Jill Hollingsworth(Silas); great-grandchildren: Gayle, Faith, Joshua, Julieanne, Owen, Kate, Aiden, Avery, Evie, Jack, Isaac, and Benjamin; and a sister, Liz Robbins Bland. Mr. Robbins was a fun loving man who never met a stranger. He loved his family with his whole heart and would do anything for them, but he expected them to live by a certain moral standard and enforced it. He would never expect anyone to do anything that he wouldn't do. He had a servant's heart and would do anything he could to help someone. He and his family were charter members of Raleigh Assembly of God where he faithfully served the Lord for many years. Even as his health declined he never complained about anything and continued to show the joy of the Lord. J. W. was a Mason of more than 50 years, member of Park Avenue Lodge #362, 32nd Scottish Rite and Shriner, member of Al Chymia Temple at Shelby Oaks in Memphis, Tennessee.

A visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East on Whitten Rd.
