Kathi Virginia Forster, a native of the Memphis area, passed away June 13, 2015 at Methodist Germantown Hospital at the age of 61.

Kathi was born on November 14, 1953 in Memphis, TN to Joseph Berry and Virginia (Farley) Roach. She was the youngest of four girls and had many fond memories of growing up with her sisters. She spent her childhood in Whitehaven, TN and attended Fairley High School where she met many lifelong friends.

Kathi began working for the Shelby County Sheriff''s Office in 1986 as a Clerical Assistant and eventually became a Deputy, which is the position she held upon retirement from the force. She had a genuine appreciation for life and loved to smile and laugh. She enjoyed music, dancing, and traveling to many wonderful places throughout her life. She was also a huge fan of the Memphis Tigers basketball team. Most importantly, she had a strong faith in God which she shared with her family and close friends.

Kathi was preceded in death by her parents JB and Virginia Roach of Memphis, TN. Surviving family members include her life partner and soul mate, Ricky Price of Memphis, TN; sisters Gloria Parker of Cordova, TN; Jane (Dave) Herman of Bartlett, TN; Mary Jo Hood of Cordova, TN; daughters Stacie Bowein Riley of Marion, AR; Melanie (Devin) Wood of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Logan Willer (19) and Hannah Riley (10); nine nieces and nephews; and several other family members, all of whom she loved dearly.

Memorial services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East at 5:00 in the evening on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The address is 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to those who continually cared for and prayed for Kathi in her final days.
