Valda "Kay" Dewberry, 88, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends.

Kay was born on June 19, 1933 in McNairy County, TN. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1951. After graduation she moved to Memphis, TN and worked as a long distance operator for South Central Bell. She later retired from the insurance business as an executive assistant. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed watching college basketball, especially her Memphis State Tigers. On a pretty day you could find her in the garden, picking peas or planting flowers. She always had a smile on her face especially when she saw her children and grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her son, Chuck Dewberry of Memphis; her daughter, Tammy Lancaster of Olive Branch; granddaughter, Mallarie Hernandez (Joe) of Olive Branch; grandson, Patrick Sandidge (Holly) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Haley Gainey (Jeremy) of Hernando, MS; granddaughter's, Olivia & Savanna Lancaster of Olive Branch, MS; 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Alice Fulwood; her daughter, Tina Sandidge; her sister, Almeda Rudy; her brother, Joe Billy Fulwood.
