Kenneth Layne Hamilton, 72, passed away on 4-21-22 at Baptist Hospital Desoto after a brief illness. A visitation will be held on Tuesday 4-26 at Forest Hill Midtown location from 12 pm until 2 pm with a graveside service immediately following.

Kenny was born on June 23, 1949, in Memphis, TN to Allie and Marguerite (Bunnell) Hamilton.  He attended Whitehaven High School where he received his diploma. Kenny had a love for playing music which led him to play guitar in The Rapids and later in New World. On June 4, 1968, he married the love of his life Debbie (Whiteaker) Hamilton. On June 20th, 1969, Kenny and Debbie welcomed their only child ,Tresa, into the world.  Kenny went on to become a successful business owner first with a bar named the Pink Panther and later opened the Daily Planet on Park Avenue where he provided up and coming Memphis musicians a place to showcase their talent. After retiring from the bar business, Kenny started another successful business doing carpentry and home repairs. In his spare time Kenny enjoyed photography and spending time with his family. He was full of life and energy and brought a smile to anyone that was around him.

Kenny is survived by his Wife Debbie Hamilton, Daughter Tresa Parnell, Grandchildren Josh Parnell (Elizabeth) and Tori Rhines (Jerry)
Great-Grandchildren Brooklyn Parnell and Scarlett Rhines.
