Obituary


Kenneth Tillman Masterson took a flight to his Heavenly Home, Sunday, June 7, 2020, at his home in Southaven, MS. He was born May 4, 1927, to Homer and Blanche Masterson in Texarkana, AR. Kenneth gave his heart to the Lord at age 12.  He was an inspiration and a friend who brought love and laughter to everyone who knew him.  He always had a kind word and a joke. He praised God every day no matter his circumstances. Kenneth served in the navy during World War II. He retired from Curtis 1000 in 1991 then went to work as an usher and tour guide at the Pyramid for 10 years. He enjoyed the theater and performing on stage. He loved the Cardinals and watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved life  but most importantly he loved his family and the Lord. He is preceded in death by his dad and mom, Homer and Blanche Masterson, grandparents, John Henry and Minnie Mae Masterson, three brothers, Rue Masterson, Tipton Masterson, and Ron Masterson. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Bobbie Lee Masterson, three children, Sandra Gahagan (Ray), Kenny Masterson (Sheila), Aletha Wheat (Mike) and a niece he helped raise, Pat Love, 5 grandchildren, Shane Abrams, Dustin Wheat, Jeffrey Wheat, Kyle Grahagan, Chelsie Rankhorn, and 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Henry Masterson (Terry). Visitation with his family will be Friday, June 12, 2020, from 5:00~7:00 pm with funeral service following on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Funeral Home east on Whitten Road. 901-388-1000
