Kenneth L. Netherland, 74, of Collierville, TN died Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was the all time winningest high school football coach in the state of Tennessee. During his 50 years he coached at Westwood, Hillcrest, Germantown, St. George''s and Lausanne Schools. He was associated with the Fellowship of Christian Athletics. Coach Netherland is survived by his wife, Sharon J. Netherland; daughter, Kelly Rhoads (Shawn) of Bullard, TX; son Ken Netherland, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Lorien and Atticus Rhoads and his niece, Dale Netherland Hall of Columbus, MS. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Bernard Netherland. Visitation will be 11 A.M.-1 P.M., Thursday, July 17, 2014 with services to follow at 1 P.M. at Germantown Baptist Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to any athletic organization of the donor''s choice.
