LW Logan,  93, departed to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Born May 13, 1930, in Dancy, Mississippi,  he was the son of Eral Lawrence and Bertia Jane Logan. LW was born the 5th of 9 children. He lived 93 hard working years from hoeing the cotton fields as a child with a cutdown hoe handle from the age of 6, then approximately 42 years at the truck-lines and 22 years at General Heating and Cooling. He was a great father and provider for his family and loved by many. He enjoyed playing music as his lifelong hobby whether it be guitar or drums and especially singing.   He recorded 2 CDs and even wrote a book about his life and family.  He was a believer in Jesus Christ and with doctrine in his soul, he was so kind and gracious as the Lord provided dying grace during his last days. He was preceded in death by his parents Eral and Bertia, his wife of 64 years, Pat Logan, his daughters Kerry Jo and Viki Colleen, his sisters Mary Dell, Joan, Lyndel, Peggy and brothers Wyndel, Eral, James "Dink." He is survived by his brother, Larry Logan, sister, Jane Musso, children,  Jill, Tracy, Stoney (Suzanne), his 5 grandchildren, Jon Eric Wildes (Kristen), Jamie McHan (Darryl), Jacob Logan, Adelyn Yeomans (Silas), Rachel Logan and 5 great grandchildren, Lacie Buckelew, Logan Brooke McHan, Jaxson McHan, Cody McHan and Jameson Wildes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East with Pastor Finley Cutshaw officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 -2:00 pm with the funeral service immediately following.
