L. Alberta McCartie, 87, of Lakeland, TN, went home to Glory on February 17, 2014. She retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Company and was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church. Mrs. McCartie is the widow of the late, Joseph McCartie and is survived by her daughter, Sheila McCartie; son, Tim (Crystal) McCartie, daughter-in-law, Janice McCartie; four grandchildren, Michele Johns, Matthew McCartie, Rachel McCartie, Kaycee Kienast; and a great-grandson, Cannon Johns. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael McCartie. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service begins at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 24 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
