Larry Wayne Hays, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Somerville, TN. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Glenda Hays; two sons, Larry Wayne Hays Jr. (Lesli), Kevin Ray Hays; one sister, Sandra Frazier (Robert); two brothers, Orvel "Mack" Hays (Cathy), Danny Lee Hays; six grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Andrew, Taylor, Colton, Quentin; three great grandchildren, Jake, Carson, Harper; and one cousin who was like a brother, Floyd Gillis (Barbara). He is preceded in death by his parents, Orvel and Wilma Hays.

Larry was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Somerville, TN. He retired from Smith and Nephew after 37 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, driving his tractor, farming, baling hay and tending to his cattle. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 1:00p.m.-2:00p.m., with funeral services starting at 2:00p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. Burial will follow at Forest Hill South Cemetery 2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN 38118.
