Larry Don Rolfe was born December 25, 1955, in Memphis, TN to Earl and Melvine Rolfe. Larry attended Booker T. Washington High School as a member of the Class of 1974. He later received an Associate degree in Hospitality Management in 2000 from State Technical Institute at Memphis. Larry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age at Pentecostal Temple Institutional Church of God in Christ. In 1977, Larry transitioned his membership under the late Bishop Philemon Turner Sr. to the Lord's Tabernacle Holiness Church where Elder Melvin Kneeland currently presides as pastor. On March 24, 1978, he married Gloria, the love of his life and the mate to his soul. Their marriage was an example of the fruition of God's vision to Larry and that it was His divine will and their 41-year love story was an inspiration to all who encountered them. Larry's love for family and others reflected in through his untiring giving and sense of humor. Larry's bright smile and booming voice filled any room he entered and he was always willing to aid anyone in need. Larry was an excellent husband, provider, father, brother, uncle, and friend. The family has requested that you would join them for a Visitation Service on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 10 am until 11:55 am with the Funeral Services to follow at 12 noon at Lord's Tabernacle Holiness Church on Midland Street with burial to follow at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East 2440 Whitten Road.
