Lawrence Gene Russum, 82, passed away on October 14, 2018 in Memphis, TN.  He was born on August 1, 1936 to Fred and Jenny Mae Russum, who preceded him in death, along with two brothers, Hugh Russum and John Russum, and three sisters, Mary Lois Harden, Mildred Downen, and Evelyn Grooms.  Left to cherish and honor his memory are his loving wife of 45 years Lynn Kahler Russum and daughter Lori Harrington (Tony) of Bartlett, TN.  Mr. Russum was blessed with two grandchildren, Ainsley and Andrew Harrington.  He also leaves two sisters, Gladys Goss and Frances Brown.

He was a Master Carpenter for Carpenter Local #345 for decades.  He enjoyed wood working and wielded his craft all over the city. He was an avid deer hunter, an excellent fisherman and an exceptional guitar player.  He and Lynn loved to travel and made many trips across the United States together, one of their favorite places being Alaska.  Visitation with his family will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 1:30-2:00 p.m., with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm.  Internment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park and Cemetery, South on East Holmes Road.

In lieu of flowers his family request any memorial donations be made to St. Jude or the charity of the donor's choice.
