Lawrence Simmons, 83, died at 10:10 a.m., Sunday October 22, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mona (Beth) Simmons: A daughter, Deborah Danson, married to Forrest Danson, of Phoenix, AZ: A son, Lawrence (Larry) Miles Simmons, his wife Mei Simmons of Olive Branch. He also had three grandchildren Victoria Danson, John Danson, Boshan Yu Simmons and one great grandson, Forrest MacLachlan Danson. Lawrence Simmons was born in Memphis TN and graduated from Whitehaven High School. He founded and operated Simmons Sign Company in Memphis, TN for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer. He was known for his continual smile, unstopping energy and amazing sense of humor. He was devoted to his family and his absence will diminish our lives forever. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 24th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 25th at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-South (901)346-3250
