Leatha Juanita Holt, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2019 in Bartlett, TN.  Mrs. Holt was a graduate of Rust College in Holly Springs, MS, and was a beloved 2nd grade teacher who taught in the Memphis City School system for 28 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Mr. William T. Holt; one son, William T. Holt Jr.; one daughter, Guinvevere Byrd; and a grandson, Winston G. Holt.  Left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, George Holt of Bartlett, two sisters, Emma Haymon of Cleveland Ohio and May Mayes of Detroit, MI; and brother, Franklin Hayes of Augusta, GA.  Mrs. Holt has been blessed with three grandchildren: Tracie Byrd, Corey Holt and Courtney Holt; plus great-grandchildren, Malik Holt and Colby Holt Garner.  Visitation with her family will be on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, with her funeral service at her church, Noah's Chapel AME Church,  6791 Pleasant Ridge Road in Millington, TN on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East, 901-382-1000.
