Leland Hansel McLain, 80, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on May 12, 2026, and is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Leland loved the Lord Jesus and placed all his faith and trust in Him. He was born in Cherry Valley, AR on September 02, 1945 to J.C. and Jewel Spencer McLain.
He graduated from South Side High School in Memphis, TN in 1963 and played 3rd base on the baseball team.
Leland started working in his father's business, McLain Drywall, and a few years later became a partner with him with much success. Leland continued that business for many years after his father retired gaining a very good reputation for his work.
Later, Leland began working with his brother Stanley McLain, in his business and they worked successfully together for many years until the onset of Alzheimer's touched Leland's life.
Leland was loved by so many people and was such a good friend to so many. He was always smiling and so respectful to everyone. He was willing to help anyone in any way he could.
He loved the game of golf and was extremely good at it. He was also a fan of Alabama football and loved watching Alabama play.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. McLain and Jewel Spencer McLain; his stepdaughter, Kimberly Reddin Cam[bell; stepson, Jeff Reddin; and a brother-in-law, Charles Tegethoff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Faye Hall McLain who took care of him with such remarkable love, patience, and kindness. They had a strong, loving marriage, standing by each other during the good times and the hard times, always supporting each other. He also leaves a brother, Stanley McLain (Judy); a sister, Martha McLain Tegethoff; a son, Randall McLain; three grandsons, Clay McLain (Stephanie), Chris McLain (Peyton), and Brandon Campbell (Jade); four granddaughters, Desiree Smith (Kevin), Kristen Campbell, Victoria Reddin (Andy), and Erica Symon (Dillon); ten great-grandchildren with two more on the way and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
He was a wonderful man who loved his family dearly. He was such a blessing in all our lives, and he will be sorely missed by all who loved him so very much. To know this man was to truly love him.
