Lemuel Fay Moore, age 76, died of heart failure on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Southaven, Mississippi.

L.F is survived by his wife, Connie Wimberly Moore of Southaven, MS; daughter Amy Denise Moore of Southaven, MS;  daughter Jennifer Moore Wright (Jason) of Hernando, MS; daughter Melanie Moore Buckley (Jay) of Brentwood, TN; five grandchildren: Mitchell Evan Wright, Bethany Constance Wright, Paige Montgomery Buckley, Maggie Caroline Buckley, and Lily Grace Buckley; sisters: Billie Corrine Johnson, Martha Jo Ullrich, and sister Doris Lee Cobb.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ida Pearl Moore and Lemuel Fay Moore, Sr.; sisters, Mary Ingram and Jeri Young.

L.F. was born on February 25, 1942 in Pope, MS, to parents, Ida Pearl Moore and Lemuel Fay Moore.  He graduated from Lambert High School in 1961.  He moved to Memphis, TN and worked for thirty-eight years as a pipe fitter at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, retiring in 1998.

He was a great family man and a loving father.  He married Constance Harriet Wimberly in 1964, and the couple had three children together: Amy, Jennifer, and Melanie.  He was proud of his daughters; however, they took a backseat when his grandchildren arrived.  He carried his iPad with him everywhere, and loved to show pictures and videos of his grandchildren to anyone he encountered.

Visitation is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, MS, with a service to follow.  Rev. James Lewis will officiate.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate L.F.'s life.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations or memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
