Leon MacDonald Adams, 95, entered into Eternal Life on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Monday evening, with the service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with Rev. Don Adams and Rev. Gene Gregory officiating, with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville. He was born February 2, 1917 in Iuka, Mississippi to Paul and Rubye Adams and preceded in death by his wife, Jene Bicknell Adams, and sister Elaine Van Fleet. He is survived by three children, Paul Adams of Memphis, Don (Carol) Adams of Greenville, TN, and Gladys Adams (Gene) Gregory of Enterprise, FL; four grandchildren, Kristi, Karen, Nick, and Drew; three great-grandchildren; Eva, Emily, and Lauren; two sisters, Hazel and Lorayne; two brothers-in-law, Joe, and Curtis; nine nieces and four nephews. He served in WWII and was part of the Normandy Campaign. He was in the grocery and real estate businesses. Leon came to the Lord as a child and his life was a genuine reflection of the love of Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church of Iuka, MS and then Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. Memorials may be sent to Rev.
