Southaven - Leon Heard Witt, 86 of Southaven, MS peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2014. He was surrounded by his wife of fifty years, Linda Wicker Witt and their three children, Mike Witt, Lisa Witt Dixon and Pam McKee Yates. Mr. Witt proudly served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired Carman from the BNSF Railroad. Mr. Witt was from Belden, MS and Jackson, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Leon Witt and Erin Heard Witt of Belden, MS. He is survived by sister Carolyn Lackey of Tupelo, MS, nine grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-grandchild due in January 2015, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements to be handled by Forest Hill South, 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis TN with visitation Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, August 8 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow.
