Leonard Stein, 87, Died June 15, 2020. Born to an Orthodox Jewish family in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx, NY. His charismatic smile was infectious, he never met a person that he couldn't give the gift of laughter too. He considered every day a blessing, waking up each morning thanking God for giving him another shot, "another page in the book." In the end, his "book" would run 31,862 pages, each one a unique story. Lenny embraced adventure, enlisting in the army on his 17th birthday just months before the start of the Korean War. He would ultimately serve as a photographer in Korea and learn a trade that would change his life forever. After the war, he enrolled in a city college, learned film editing, and landed a job with Paramount Studios working on famous shows like Flipper, Bonanza, and Sea Hunt . Lenny's life in Hollywood was adventurous, but his restless spirit led him into countless business ventures across the US. He lived much of his life moving between California and Florida where it was always warm, and he could bathe in the sun. He came to Memphis at 77 to visit a friend and stayed for 10 years. In Memphis he found the one thing that had eluded him his whole life, the true peace found only in Messiah Jesus. Lenny's story of transformative salvation read like a chapter from the bible. Shocking and amazing all who had known him. He served the Lord faithfully for nearly 10 years; sharing the miracle of his life to all who would listen. His memory is a blessing that will be cherished by all. He is survived by his sister Shirley Schwartzman, son Matt Stein, son Steve Stein, his daughter Ashli Dilorenzo, godson Brett Saxon, grandchildren Brianne, Ryan, Brittany, Tiara, Makayla, Tiffany, Corbin, Keigan, Breeli, Kayler + many great-grandchildren and unofficially adopted son, Paul.

Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133. Visitation will be 9:30 AM Friday, June 19 with a service to follow at 10 AM. All are welcome to attend
