Leonie Martin Hughes, 84, went to Heaven to be with her Savior on September 11, 2012. Mrs. Hughes was retired from General Sessions Court Clerk''s Office and a member of Ellendale Baptist Church. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cranston Hughes and sisters, Faye Langston, Lois Seward and Billie Jean Hannah. She is survived by four children, Rick Hughes (Lori), Christy Riels, Rodney Hughes (Bobbie), Carla Gaye Wolf (John); six grandchildren, Candy, Scotty, Sean, Allison, Elliott, Natalie; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Bryce, Jaxon, Liam; sister, Annell Harrell and many beloved family and friends. Services will be at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Road. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 13 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service on Friday, September 14 at 10 a.m.
