Lester David Smith, 71, passed away in Cordova, Tennessee on June 18, 2019.  He was born in Tupleo, Mississippi, and was a 35 years United States Navy Veteran.  Mr. Smith had been the University of Memphis Swim Coach for thirteen years.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Charlotte Tiffin Smith; his parents, Lester and Mary Pauline Smith; and one brother, William Harry Smith.  Left to honor his memory are his sons, Brandt William (Anita) Smith and Charles David Smith; and one brother, Joe Ramon Smith.  Mr. Smith was blessed with two grandchildren by marriage; Kayla Comeaux and Kelsey Comeaux; and five great-grandchildren.  Forest Hill Funeral Home, East has been entrusted with his services.  Memorial services will be provided at a later date.
