Obituary

Linda Jeanette Harriot, 76, of Coldwater, MS, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2020. She was born in Memphis, TN in 1944 to James and Ruby Inez Baskin. She graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, TN. She trained to be a Beautician after graduation and later used her training to help her family and friends. She went on to work at Agency Services Insurance Company as their receptionist. She was affectionately given the title of Director of First Impressions, which speaks to her gift of hospitality. After retirement from Agency Services, she continued to volunteer in her church, Highland Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS. She also worked part-time at Curves in Senatobia. She remained active by dancing, walking, reading books on her kindle and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Traci Legge (Joe Legge) and Cammie Evans (Howell Evans). She has five grandchildren: Thomas Chambers (Taylor Chambers), Phillip Chambers (Tabatha Chambers), Sydney Eley (Mathew Eley), Jack Evans and Carson Evans. She has four great-grandchildren: Julian Chambers, Charlee Chambers, Maggie Michelle Chambers and Brody Eley. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Peggy Orman (Joseph Orman) of Bartlett, TN., her sister in law: Mrs. Alcy Baskin of Bartlett, TN., her brothers: Mr. Eddie Baskin (Debbie Baskin) of Oakland, TN., Mr. Larry Baskin (Carolyn Baskin) of Bartlett, TN. and Mr. Thomas R. Baskin (Cheryl Baskin) of Bartlett, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Inez Baskin of Memphis, TN. and her dear brother James Michael Baskin of Memphis,TN.
Beloved Mother , Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend, Linda remained full of Grace and beauty until the Lord saw fit with His infinite wisdom to call her home.
She will be missed, but not eternally.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Harriott at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East on Thursday January 21st, 2021 at 10:30 am.
