Linda Carol James, 72, passed away on December 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Baldwin and Patrice Scarbrough James, and her brother, Stephen James. Linda was a lifelong Memphian who attended Central High School and Memphis State University. She shared her father's love of art. Linda was very active in her father's campaigns including his run for political office. She worked with her father and was instrumental in helping her father create the original Crime Stoppers program in Memphis which later went national. Linda loved to travel around the country, often traveling alone as an adventuresome young woman. She loved visiting friends and family in other states. As her health declined, her travels stopped but she continued to maintain her lifelong friendships and made many new friends. She was loved and will be deeply missed by many. Services will be 2pm Monday, January 2 at Forest Hill-East with burial following at Forest Hill-Midtown.
