Linda Sue May, 68, formerly of Nesbit, MS, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto. She was preceded in death by her parents John Pirtle and Opal Clark, and a son David May. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dallas May, and children, Susie Sadler of Southaven, MS; Sherry Hollis (Lane) of Cave Springs, AR; John May (Emily) of Hernando; Lynn Moore (Wayne) of Nesbit; Beth Anderson (Andy) of Hernando; daughter-in-law Mandy May of Southaven; 18 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hernando, MS, but regularly attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville, AR. She is a graduate of Memphis Technical High School, was a former housewife, Payroll Clerk for May-Cotton Big Star, and Office Manager at Hernando Hills Country Club. She enjoyed competing in the State Senior Olympics in AR, TN and MS, sewing, writing and reading poetry, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held at Forest Hill South Funeral Home at 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with services to follow at 2 p.m., at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to LeBonheur Children''s Hospital-Memphis, TN.
