She was the beautiful, kind, loving mother, wife, daughter, sister & friend whose life centered on her family. Linda Joy Wallace was surrounded by love as she passed peacefully on October 31st to be with the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Wallace. Waiting for her were daughter Debbie Wallace, grandson Nicholas Chastain, her parents & sisters Hazel & Lavern. Born on a hot August day in 1934 in Dyer, TN, the beloved, dedicated child of Elizabeth & Chett Miller lived in Pinson, TN, and at 16 fell in love with Bob. They married in July, 1951 and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where three girls, Debbie, Sheila and Connie were born into a huge group of adoring, rambunctious extended family & friends who gathered weekly for Sunday Dinner. In 1975 Linda and Bob moved to Jackson to be near her TN family, eventually settling in Memphis. They gleefully welcomed first grandchild Matthew Thiele, son of Sheila and Ted. Nothing, aside their own girls, gave more joy than being Nana and "Andaddy".  When Bob and Debbie died in '95, Linda found purpose in faith and family. Bellevue Baptist Church friends enriched her life with a loyal, loving circle still felt today. As Connie and Jonathan Chastain, added to their family, Nana was in Texas to welcome Julianne, Ava & Wyatt. When Nicholas was lost before birth, Nana was there. She never missed birthdays and long visits were joyous and fun. Linda's life was her family. She told us that was all that really matters. She was right. Her 87 years were full of good work, life lessons and fierce love (especially for BooBoo). We are forever grateful to have been hers.
