Linda Marie Philpot Young, 82, died on February 29, 2024.

A member of the Memphis community, Mrs. Young was an avid Southern Baptist, hard worker, figurehead of the Memphis Gun Club, devoted YMCA employee, and loving matriarch of her family.

Mrs. Young is survived by her son, Roy Jr. (Greta); grandchildren Nicole (Stuart) Davis and Cody Young; and great-grandchildren Ret and Goldie Lynn. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Patricia Paysinger, many friends, and family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Lynn Young Sr. and is now dancing in heaven.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, at Forest Hill Funeral Home East- 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133 from 1:00-2:00; funeral services from 2:00-2:30. Burial proceedings will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at 3 PM, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119.
