Lindon Durell Laxton "Doright", 82, of  Cordova, TN, passed away on February 22 at Baptist Hospital. Born on April 20, 1943 in Munford, TN was a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather known for always putting family first, his love of old cars, feeding wild birds, and keeping his yard pristine. He was also a Mason and a Teamster. His first job was throwing The Memphis Press Scimitar as a boy, then worked at The Memphis Zoo. He later went on to work at Wonder Bread, Superior Forwarding, Central Transport, Roadway, and R&L Truck Line.

Durell is survived by his wife Sharon Laxton "Boo" of 44 years, Sons, Michael (Marcy)Laxton, Damon Laxton, Daughter, Hollye Ferguson, Grandchildren, Stormy (Dallas) Cox, Rachel (Ryan) Vaden, Cooper Laxton, Great-Grandchildren, Shepherd, and Banks

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Services at 3:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
