Lisa Ellen Bedsole Atkins died August 3, 2026, after a short illness. Lisa was born on December 24, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee and passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital. Lisa graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1976, where she played the clarinet in the band and was active in the cheerleading squad.

Lisa is survived by her loving companion, Vernon Mark Layne; daughter, Jennifer Bramlett of Atoka, Tennessee; son, David Atkins of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and brother, James Kelly Bedsole of Waltham, Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Spencer Bedsole, Jr and Gertrude Louise Bedsole; brothers, Roger Stroud Bedsole of Fort Pierce, Florida and Barry Alan Bedsole of San Diego, California; and sister, Amy Lucille Bedsole Rhinehart of Memphis, Tennessee.

Lisa was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be missed dearly and will be in our hearts forever.
