LOIS LORENE SIEGFRIED, 89, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2012. She was a dedicated mother and loving wife to her late husband Emanuel "Manny" Siegfried. Lorene dedicated most of her life caring for children of all shapes, sizes and ethnicity. For those children with special needs, her love was boundless. She received endless awards and accolades for her work at Balmoral Presbyterian nursery; where she served for 25 years. In her own words, no award can match the sensation of a child''s beautiful smile and sense of happiness. Our Mother and Father provided a home rich in love, kindness, and spirituality. Lorene was the last of 9 siblings and leaves behind 5 children, Chuck, Bill, Ken, Alice, Paul; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Our family would like to say a very special thanks to our extended family at Judy''s Care home for taking such great, great care of our mother over the past years. Thank you, Judy, Alyn, Quita, Freddy, Katrina and Crossroads Hospice. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 6 with the family receiving friends an hour prior at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. You have gone no further from us than God and God is very near.
