Lonnie was born March 9, 1948 in Texarkana Arkansas to Rev. Floyd and Jane Ashpole.
Lonnie was a graduate of West Memphis High School and attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie Texas.
After thirty-five (35) years in the trucking business Lonnie retired rom Yellow Freight, but his greatest service was his devotion to God, the church and his family.
Lonnie married the love of his life Jackie Cissom on November 22, 1975 and he was a faithful husband and caregiver until his departure.  To that union they added their only child Josh.
Lonnie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of forty-five (45) years, Jackie; his devoted son Josh; his Siblings, Cindy Ashpole-Goldberg, Merel Ashpole and Teresa Strong; his father, Rev.Floyd Ashpole; his mother-in-law Emily Cissom and sister-in-law Patty Cissom and many spiritual sons and daughters.
In leu of flowers please make a donation in Lonnie's name to Teen Challenge of Memphis which he help start in the early 70's.
