Lorene Ely Wardlaw, 94, passed away Saturday, November 02, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Col. Hugh Evins Wardlaw, Jr.; 1 son, Gary Ely; 3 daughters, Cynthia York (J.E.); Beverly Phillips; Sandra Scallorn (Johnnie); 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George C. Ely, Jr. A memorial service will be held, 2 pm, Thursday at the chapel at Kirby Pines, 3535 Kirby Rd, with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown.
