Loretta C. Bailey of Bartlett, TN, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away to heaven on June 21, 2023 at Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility in Bartlett Tennessee. She was 94 years old.  She was born August 13th 1929 to Harry and Pauline (Scheer) Williams near Powell Nebraska.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present. A memorial will be addressed later.

She attended rural schools near Reynolds Nebraska and graduated from Reynolds High School. She married Leonard Milius on February 14th 1947 and they had three children. They later divorced. She married Howard Bailey August 26th 1961 in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. She started out as a Secretary for an insurance firm in Nebraska, then in Oklahoma City, OK, until she started working as an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Agriculture. She went to college at night and became a Field Auditor for the Department of Agriculture, where she worked until she retired.

She volunteered for the Tennessee Genealogical Society in Memphis, TN for about 20 years and she was an Honorary Lifetime Member. She helped publish their quarterly news magazine, "Ansearchin' News", and was on the Board of Directors for many years. She wrote several books on the family genealogy, greatly appreciated by family and friends.

She had various hobbies and excelled at them all. She was an avid reader most of her life, a gardener, a fur baby mom to many doggies. She started oil painting after her daughter talked her into reluctantly taking a tole painting class with her. She left her daughter in the dust as she went on to become an accomplished artist, much to her daughter's and family's pride. She also made flower arrangements like a pro.

She is preceded in death by her child, Gayle Gerard Milius, her parents, her sisters, Mary Ann Williams, Cora Craig, Dorrine Milius, her brother, James Williams, her husband, Howard Bailey, and son-in-law. Stephen Boughton.

Survivors are her children, Terry (Judy) Milius, and Kathryn Boughton, two grandchildren, Mark (Tammy) Milius, and Lori (Patrick) Blair, 2 step grandchildren, Sarah Hurley and Jacquelyn (Kevin) O'Keefe, 8 great-grandchildren, Michael (Nikki) Greer, Max, Megan, Madison, MJ Milius, Eli, Coley, Lennon Blair, and 5 step great-grandchildren, Reagan Hurley, Kellen, Kali, Jolie and Jace O'Keefe. She will also be missed by her remaining family, including nieces, nephews and cousins.
