Lou Ellen Johnson, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 01, 2025. She was born on October 27,1938 in Dyess, Arkansas.

Lou Ellen loved and cared for her cats so much. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and baking as well.

Lou Ellen was preceded in death by her parents Robert Charles Lancaster of Memphis, Tennessee and Effie Jane Chapman of Dyess, Arkansas; and brother, Robert Lancaster.

Lou Ellen leaves to cherish her memory her loving children; daughters, Brenda K Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee and Leslie (Ross) Hooper of Olive Branch, Mississippi; son, Jim (Shelia) Ryans of Ashland, Mississippi; sister in-law, Wanda Lancaster of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandon Lewis, Jenna Hooper, Cameron (Savannah) Lomonaco, Ricky (Megan) Lomonaco and Daniel Hooper; great grandchildren, Zachary Lewis and Camryn Hooper .

Lou Ellen was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly and will be in our hearts, forever.

The family will be having a private funeral service and ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County.
