Lou B. O'Hara, 87, of Memphis passed away on April 14, 2024. Mrs. O'Hara was born on July 31, 1936 in Jackson, TN. She was a graduate of South Side Madison County High School and attended business school in Jackson. Mrs. O'Hara worked as a payroll clerk and for a tobacco company before marrying her husband. Mrs. O'Hara claimed raising her three children as her biggest accomplishment. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were her greatest joy and the most important to her. She enjoyed her time with her many friends at the Lucille McWhertor Senior Center.

Mrs. O'Hara is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Earl J. O'Hara Jr., her daughter Alecia O'Hara, her son-in-law Steve Bledsoe, her parents Floyd and Gladys Tims, her four sisters, and her three brothers.

Mrs. O'Hara is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Bledsoe of Memphis; her son, E. Justin O'Hara III, and his wife Stephanie of Knoxville; her seven grandchildren Matthew Bledsoe and his wife Anna, Devin Schniepp and her husband Andrew, Mason Bledsoe, Hadley O'Hara, Parker O'Hara, Emmy O'Hara, and A.J. O'Hara; her great grandson, Micah Schniepp; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family requests in lieu of flowers any memorials be sent to Lucille McWhertor Senior Center, 1355 Estate Dr, Memphis, TN 38119.

Services will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 with Rev. Jeff Roach of Hope Church officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at the Garden of Peace, Forest Hill Cemetery East.
