Laura "Louise" Wall Walker, 96, of Southaven, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6. 2019.  Mrs. Walker was born on July 22, 1922, and grew up in South Memphis.  She married Otis Clayton Walker on December 17, 1939. They were married just shy of 50 years when he passed away on December 13, 1990.  She was a graduate of Baptist School of Nursing, and loved her work as an LPN.  During her career, she worked at the Shelby County Health Department, Gartly-Ramsay Hospital, and for Dr. Jack C. Biggs.  Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Clayton Walker; parents, Roland and Laura Bell Wall; and two sisters, Ruby Hudson and Dorothy Stroud.  She is survived by her only child, Amos Dwayne Harrison (Renee), who Mrs. Walker said was always a blessing to her; three grandchildren: Amanda Martin, Ashley Harrison, and Anthony Harrison; six great-grandchildren: Savannah, Ashlan, Bryce, Jayden, Makenzie, and Claire; and her sister, Dorris Wilkinson.  Her two best friends were Anita Sutterfield and Evelyn Talley.  Mrs. Walker was a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church, where she faithfully served the Lord, such as how she and Talley kept the nursery for many years.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 49 years old.  The family will receive friends for a period of visitation on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m.  Both visitation and service will be held at Carriage Hills Baptist Church, 8352 Farmington Drive West; Southaven, MS 38671.  Interment will follow at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Midtown.  Mrs. Walker wants everyone to know that "Talley and I are with Jesus now, and will see the rest of you when you get here."
