Louise Dennis Wood, 83, of Bartlett, Tennessee went to be with our Lord on October 19, 2023 after a short illness.

She was the fourth child born to Charles H. Dennis, Sr, and Vera Eathel Dennis (nee, Morgan) on October 23, 1939.  She was a 12 year graduate of Treadwell High School and studied for a time at Memphis State University.  Miss Dennis was the Cotton Carnival Queen of Shelbi in 1958 and worked for MLGW for a time before marrying.  Ms. Wood worked for over 30 years at Van Court Realty as Credit Manager.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her oldest sister, Mary Jean Dennis, her brother, Charles H. Dennis, Jr. (Joanne), and her older sister, Katherine Ann Snipes and her brother-in-law, Gene Snipes.

Ms. Wood is survived by her daughter, Tracy Wood Quigley (Kevin), three granddaughters, Devin Quigley, Morgan Rosas and Chandler Rosas, her sister-in-law, Mrs. Joanne Dennis, and a niece and six nephews.  She is also survived by her loving dog, Levi, and many other friends and family.

She loved all of her family and friends fiercely and would do anything in her power to help those in need.  Whether it be emotional or otherwise, she was there for you no matter what.  You might get a lecture but you would get what was needed.  She will be missed.
