Luther Butler 87, of Mississippi went home to heaven on Saturday February 8, 2020. The Family will receive family and friends on Friday February 14 from 12:30 to 2pm.  The celebration of life service will be immediately following at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on  Whitten Road. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina on December 21,1932. he served in the United States Navy and National Guard for 25 years. He was Master Electrician after retiring enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends. He was an active and longtime member of First Assembly Church of Horn Lake. He was preceded in death by his late wife Ruby of 43 years. Survivors include two daughters Laura Stone, Patricia Payne and her husband, Larry, three grandsons Clint Stone, Taylor Payne and Connor Payne and his wife Blake, sister Ellen Larimore. In lieu of traditional remembrances, the family request memorial contributions be made to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
