Luther  C.  Davis, 97, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018.  Luther was married to Kitty Davis for 76 years when she passed earlier this year. He is survived by his nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lora Davis.   He served his country honorably in the U. S. Army as a Technical Sgt. during World War II, serving in the European Theatre in England, Germany, France and Belgium. Luther was the recipient of the Bronze Star.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years. Luther was a long time member of Southaven Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Southern Hospice Care team members, Tracie and Stacey; Mable  Hunt and her crew.  Family and friends will gather on Wednesday the 19th from 12-2 pm to share memories, followed by services at 2 pm.  Both will be held at Southaven Church of Christ.   Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-South (901) 346-3250
