Luther Floyd Harris, known to family and friends as Bubba, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, December 11, 2019, at the age of 76. Bubba will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Cheri and his sons Floyd (Denise) and Jeff (Melinda) Harris, and their adopted daughter Coreena (Daniel) Martinez. Also surviving Bubba are his five grandchildren Avery, Colton, Carley, and Tanner Harris, and Bella Martinez, all who greatly enriched his life. Bubba was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie and Johnny Harris, and survived by three siblings: Sonny (Barbara) Harris, Ailene (Buddy) Ford, Anne Harris, and sister in law, Janet (Ken) Newberry. In addition to numerous nieces and nephews, a host of friends will miss Bubba's infectious smile and generous heart. Bubba was an Army veteran, a retiree from the Canadian National Railroad and a deacon of Elliston Baptist Church. Bubba loved the Lord and actively served his church until his health would no longer permit but Bubba continued to provide spiritual guidance and comfort until the Lord called him home.
