It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mable Marie Bumpas, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was 90 years young.

Marie, as she was affectionately known to all, was a cherished and long-time resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi, where she built a life filled with love, faith, and community. Her unwavering spirit and compassionate heart touched countless lives throughout her remarkable ninety years.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John (JD) Bumpas; her loving daughter, Ronda; and nine beloved siblings, all of whom she now joyfully reunites with in eternal peace.

Marie's legacy of love and devotion continues through her surviving family: her son, Rodger Bumpas, and daughter, Becky; her dear sister, Ernestine; and a vast, loving lineage of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her memory will forever be a guiding light in their lives.

A woman of profound faith, Marie was a devout Baptist who found immense joy and purpose in her relationship with Christ. She was a dedicated member of her church community, where she loved to worship, fellowship, and share the good news of Jesus with everyone she met. Her life was a testament to her steadfast belief and her desire to spread God's love.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Marie's life and her journey home will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the same location. We invite all who knew and loved Marie to join us in honoring her beautiful life.
