Makiya Lynn Griffin, 41, died unexpectedly on March 21,2021 surrounded by loved ones at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born March 2, 1980 to Debbie Maki Griffin and Roy Lynn Sandusky. Makiya was adopted by her maternal Grandparents,  the late Glenn H. Griffin Sr. and Maki Griffin in 1981. She graduated with a special diploma from Kingsbury High School and would spend her years playing with her dolls, making beaded necklaces, coloring, and going to her favorite store. She spent most of her days with "mom", Maki Griffin at their home in Frayser.  She enjoyed playing with her only nephew Sebastian. Makiya never met a stranger and loved everyone, everyone was her friend.

Makiya was predeceased by her maternal Grandfather(Dad) Glenn Howard Griffin Sr., Uncle Glenn "Butchie" Howard Griffin Jr, paternal Grandparents Ruth and Harley Sandusky.
