Marcelle (Aldridge) Forsythe

Marcelle Forsythe, 89, of Memphis, TN passed into the arms of Jesus on November 6, 2021 in Senatobia, MS at the Senatobia Convalescent Center.

Marcelle was born on June 18, 1932 in Detroit, AL to James B. and Mettie Aldridge. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1950 and continued education at Draughon's Business College in Memphis, TN in preparation for secretarial work for various Electrical Companies. She married Paul C. Forsythe on September 26, 1953. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1993.

Marcelle was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and active in the Forerunners where she was recognized for her exemplary dedication, faithful service and expert trip planning. She loved serving people and spending time with friends and family.

Marcelle is survived by her son Paul Marty Forsythe (Cindy) of Southaven, MS, granddaughter Kimberly Forsythe (Austin Marshall – Fiance) of Hernando, MS, and granddaughter Andrea Forsythe of Oxford, MS. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Merrell Childs and Rilla Dean Henson.

Visitation will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Friday, November 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Services and burial will follow at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Michael Booth, Michael Burns, Paul Burns, Darren Henson, Brandon Henson, Austin Marshall, Blaine Marshall, and Lee Rippee.
