Margaret Jewel Choate, 88, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 near Palm Beach, Florida. Always spirited and sparkling, Margaret loved to shop, dance, and travel, but relaxed curling up with a good book. She was a graduate of the Memphis School of Commerce and former employee of ATT and the Allenberg Cotton Company. She called Memphis her home for 70 years before moving to Florida in 2012. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Barbara Choate Williams of Wellington, FL; her four grandchildren, Tim Robinson, Amy Stewart, Alissa Harris and Jesse Williams; along with her seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Choate, Jr.; parents, Basil and Archie Bezzo; sisters, Joy Koen and Basil Lea Meetze; and brother, Hobson Bezzo. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with interment to follow.
