Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) McClung passed away on April 18, 2026 . She was born in Memphis, TN on January 9, 1929, and lived there until 1971 when her husband, R.F. began working for St. Bernards Medical Center. She graduated from Whitehaven High School and attended Millsaps college until her marriage to R.B at Galloway Methodist Church in Memphis, TN on April 13, 1951. After moving to Jonesboro, they became members of the First Methodist Church, Trinity Church and Central Baptist Church where she was a member of the Truth Seekers Group and Caleb Mountain Climbers. She also participated in bible study fellowship. Scrapbooking was her fun hobby.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. McClung; her parents, Fred, and Mary Lamon;her sister, Carolyn Thomas, and her brother, Fred Lamon, Jr.

She leaves three sons, Dr. Keith McClung and wife, Myra of Batesville, AR, Kevin McClung of Jonesboro, AR, Kyle McClung and wife, Vicki of Union City, TN; three grandchildren, Kati Hankins of Erie, Pa, Alex (Devlin) McClung of Melbourne, FL and Hannah (Dalton) Herod of Trumann, AR; also two greatgrandsons, Wesley Isaih Herod of Trumann, AR and Charles Ferrell Hankins of Erie, Pa.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery, East; 2440 Whitten Rd. Memphis, TN 38133.
