Margaret Marie Nelms Piper, 78, wife of Duane Whitney Piper, died after a short illness on Saturday, September 8, 2012. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and worked in the Accounting Department of Sears and as Manager of Beauty Outlet Stores. Loved by so many, she leaves her devoted husband of 56 years, Duane, and her four children, Teresa Phillips of Lexington, AL, Cindy Curtis (Ted) of Cordova, TN, Penne O''Brien (Mike) of Las Vegas, and Michael Piper of Memphis, TN. "Grannie" blessed the lives of her 10 grandchildren, Halley Phillips-Yeager (Chad), Roxanne Phillips-Tays (Zeth), Nick Curtis (Allie), Cody Curtis (Melody), Cassidy Curtis, Katie O''Brien, Taylor Valadie, Austin O''Brien, Christian O''Brien and Patrick O''Brien, and five great-grandchildren, Charleigh Anne, River, Preston, Noah and Carly. Margaret is survived by her sister Neda Malone and sister-in-laws Rebecca Nelms and Willodine Nelms. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bellevue Baptist Church, Pollard Chapel, with interment to follow.
