Margaret Elizabeth Sawner, 97, of Olive Branch, passed away peacefully in her home on March 16, 2024.

Margaret was born in Coffeeville, Mississippi on July 24, 1926 to her late parents, E.O. and Maggie Boyle.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, Thomas Ralph Sawner; one son, Donald Wayne Sawner; two sisters, Mary Alice Pharr and Aline Martin; four brothers, Thomas Lee Boyle, Frank Allen Boyle, Jimmy James Boyle, and E.O. Jr., Boyle

Margaret had a gentle, reserved spirit. She was a diligent choir member at her church and was blessed to have a church family that loved her as their own. She retired from Sears after 20 years.

Margaret is survived by her son, Thomas Steven Sawner (Barbara); brother, William Ralph Boyle; grandchildren, Christopher Adam Sawner (Stephanie), Thomas Eric Sawner (Candace) and Stan Griffith; great grandchildren, James Griffith, Courtney Griffth Clark, Evan Adam Sawner, Cayden Ray Sawner, Claudia Williams, Caleb Cooper Sawner, Thomas Jay Sawner, and Joshua Ryan Sawner. She is survived by a large host of nieces and nephews.

Margaret will forever remain in our hearts, and we will miss her dearly.

Friends, family, and others who knew and loved Margaret are invited to celebrate her life on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist church, 7423 Craft Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Visitation begins at 10AM, followed by the funeral service at 11AM. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park South, 2545 E Holmes Rd. Memphis, Tenn.
