Margaret Katherine "Katie" Vick, age 90, passed away on April 2, 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved playing bridge (or any card game), enjoyed golf and football and being challenged by Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Vick, in 1985. Shortly after his death, she moved to Heritage Place where she enjoyed the friendships she felt very fortunate to have and appreciated the entire staff that assisted her during her declining years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mamie Bozarth, her one brother and six sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lynne Fitzgerald (Jim) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Carol Watson of Memphis, Tennessee and Pam Caiola (Steve) of Birmingham, Alabama; her 5 grandchildren: Hal Fitzgerald, Tracy Hays, Pat Fitzgerald, Amy McCoy and Robert Watson and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she received from Amedisys Hospice and Senior Care Management during her illness. A visitation will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Whitten Road from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service celebrating her life immediately following. The burial will take place at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Church Health Center or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
