Hernando - Margie Jean Gaines Johnstone, 88, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 20 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 1 to 2 prior to the service. Ms. Johnstone loved animals and was a pet sitter for many families. She is preceded in death by her longtime companion, James Kelly. She leaves two sons: Warren Jody Gaines of Hernando and Tracey Gaines (Cheryl) of Memphis; three grandchildren: Shelby, Chris and Tim Gaines, also many other beloved family and friends.
