Margie Guyton Waddell, 84, went be be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 12, 2018.  She was surrounded by her family where she died in her home in Germantown, TN.  She was born on July 28, 1933, in White, Georgia to the late Leoland and Bessie Guyton.  After receiving her Bachelor's Degree, she taught in the Memphis City School system until her retirement.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.  Mrs. Waddell was a faithful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a Christian friend to everyone she met.  She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years, Henry M. Waddell, Jr., of Germantown, TN; a daughter, Laura Waddell Geeding and her husband, Scot Geeding; two sons, Gregory Mark Waddell, and Timothy Lee Waddell; a sister, Sandra Guyton Ferguson and her husband, Larry Ferguson; and a grandson, Preston Waddell Geeding.  She was preceded in death by her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel Guyton and his wife Virginia, and Charles Guyton and his wife, Fran Guyton; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Guyton Turk and her husband, Thomas Turk.  Visitation for Mrs. Waddell will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018.  Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018.  Her services have been entrusted to Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East Chapel, located at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN, 38133.  The family requests that anyone wishing to honor the life and legacy of Mrs. Waddell to make a donation in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital of Memphis, TN.
