Marguerite P. Welborn, 104, of Bartlett, TN, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2016. She was born October 14, 1912 in Lexington, TN to Frank and Willie Jewel Pierce who preceded her in death. She was a secretary for over 30 years for Dr. Sam Sanders and a devoted member of Kingsway Christian Church for over 60 years. Mrs. Welborn was also preceded in death by her husband, William; sisters, Rena Mae and Maxine; and her nephew and his wife, William and Susan Clay. She is survived by two great nieces and their husbands, Meagan (Raoul) Gonzalez and Caitlin (Rod) Riding; two great-great nieces, Neely and Eden and a great-great nephew on the way. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday, December 31 until service begins at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family request, memorials be sent to the Bartlett Animal Shelter or to the Memphis Humane Society.
